Louisiana HB 829 passed the House floor on Thursday with a number of amendments. Louisiana Film Entertainment Association (LFEA) states, “HB 829 is a reasonable Louisiana film bill for the film industry. It currently provides for a $200 million cap on the film program but also supports a indigenous film industry.”
LFEA does not expect HB 276 or HB 704 to be heard in the House since both authors tried to amend the current legislation but could not retain enough support for their caps.
